I’m Jenny, a current junior at UC Berkeley studying Cognitive Science and Data Science. I love to empathize and design!

Whether it be prototyping on Figma, pouring latte art at a local café, sketching with oil pastels (my recent obsession), or tinkering on a new crafting project, you can always catch me designing and creating🌷

why design?

Creative expression has always been my greatest outlet, a constant thread through my early childhood in Korea and my upbringing in the U.S.

My earliest memories of designing involve gathering random knickknacks from around the house and “inventing” gadgets at my desk. I discovered the study of Design upon entering university and have been pursuing that dream ever since.

In my work, I follow the principles of Human-Centered Design— a process beginning with the people you’re designing for and ends with solutions tailor made to suit their needs 🌱

This principle has guided my professional path, resulting in a career rich with varied and impactful experiences. Here are some highlights!

  • Developed LLM-based chatbot using RAG and OpenAI’s API to enhance customer support for advertisers, performing advanced hyper-parameter tuning and NLP techniques to improve Q&A generation.

  • Instructor for a 60 student project based course on Human-Centered Design through UC Berkeley's department of Design Innovation.

  • UX Researcher and Designer for founding team of Stealth Startup.
